About Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology:

"An epoch in the social progress of India" - with these words on his lips Lord Lytton laid the foundation stone of the Mohammadan Anglo Oriental College on January 8, 1877. The establishment of Mohammedan Anglo Oriental (MAO) College in 1875 marks one of the most important events in the educational and social history of modern India. The M.A.O. College was originally affiliated with Calcutta University, and was transferred to the Allahabad University in 1885. Section 2(1) of the AMU Act says the university means the "the educational institution of their choice established by the Muslims of India".

It has 12 faculties comprising a wide spectrum of academic disciplines (95 departments, 5 institution and 13 centres) and 18 halls of residence with 73 hostels. One of them the Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology is came under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology meant for engineering courses. The University offers 325 courses. The University has a campus spread over 467.6 hectares of land. It attracts students from all over the world, especially Africa, West Asia and South East Asia.

Eligibility for AMU Medical Entrance Exam:

  1. Age: Not less than 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
  2. Qualifying Examinations: Candidates must qualify Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of this University or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR

Diploma in Engineering of this University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Test Paper Details:

There shall be one objective type paper of 150 marks comprising 150 questions on Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

Additional Information: Candidates applying for admission to B.Tech can also apply for admission to B.Arch. on the same Application Form after paying additional Admission Test fee of Rs.100.00. Such candidates shall also have to appear in Paper II (details are provided under B.Arch. course).
